Hamish McDonald

Hamish is an experienced recruiter having worked in both the New Zealand and UK markets, since 1999.  He has successfully recruited for permanent positions, contract and temporary roles across a range of industries with a specialised focus in the areas of Accounting and Finance, Sales & Marketing and Human Resources disciplines.

Upon returning to New Zealand in 2003, Hamish was a key member in the establishment, growth and management of a new business unit for a large Auckland based recruitment company. 

As a founding Director of Face 2 Face Recruitment Hamish is passionate about providing a personalised and expert recruitment service to his clients and candidates.  Hamish's view is that with ever increasing technological developments impacting recruitment, technology cannot eclipse the value of personal contact and the importance of meeting face to face.

Mike Matthews

Mike's recruitment career started in 1995 having successfully operated firstly recruiting for permanent positions and then incorporating executive leasing/contracting.  Mike's significant recruitment experience is primarily in the Accounting and Finance, Banking, and HR disciplines - with his experience also including Management, Sales & Marketing, Logistics and Project Management roles.

Mike has enjoyed a role incorporating hands on recruitment while managing both major key accounts and a successful business unit. Prior to his time in recruitment Mike spent 9 years with KPMG in a range of roles in New Zealand, USA and through SE Asia.

In addition to being a qualified accountant, Mike also has an HR qualification with related experience, and his prior work experience includes project management, accounting and audit. 

Kerryn Hope

As an integral member of the team at Face 2 Face Recruitment, Kerryn primarily focuses on the recruitment of both contract and permanent positions within the accounting and finance field. Partnering with medium to large corporate clients across a variety of industries, including engineering, retail, freight & logistics, healthcare, and manufacturing to name a few, Kerryn is experienced recruiting clerical accounts roles through to senior accounting positions to Finance Manager level.

Following the completion of her BCom/BA conjoint degree, Kerryn began work in the recruitment industry in 2005 at a large Australasian recruitment company recruiting broadly across both government and private sector clients. Since joining Face 2 Face Recruitment in 2007, Kerryn has continued to hone her skills and develop in her recruitment career, establishing herself within the accounting and finance recruitment market.

Kerryn’s success to date can be attributed to her genuine nature, her passion for building quality relationships with her clients and candidates and her consistency in ensuring their expectations are met. It is this approach that complements and aligns well with the consultative and personalised approach upon which Face 2 Face Recruitment is built.

Dave Rees

Dave joins Face 2 Face Recruitment to further establish his presence in the New Zealand professional recruitment market.  Dave has been involved within the recruitment industry since 2004, firstly promoting best practice recruitment training material, and then working for an international recruitment business.  With a successful track record, Dave brings knowledge, experience and passion for delivering the highest standard of consultative recruitment needs.

With a background in international trade, Dave spent over five years working with the likes of G.E., Mondi and Dow Chemical, helping them to source technical equipment and raw materials on the international market.

Attracted by the ‘quintessential people business’, he became part of the recruitment industry in the U.K. in early 2004. Since moving permanently to New Zealand with his wife in 2007, Dave has worked on recruitment assignments for corporate and non-corporate businesses, focusing on the need for accounting and finance professionals.  Dave recruits both contract and permanent positions in Accounting & Finance, Insurance, Sales & Marketing, Human Resources and Operations.

Dave seeks to build a trusted advisor relationship with companies. He takes a genuine interest in his clients’ businesses and enjoys helping them to build a competitive advantage by sourcing the best talent for their organisations.
